Molly’s Bakery
Two years ago, I started my little bakery in Broome, and over the years, I’ve built a strong connection with the local community—something I truly cherish. At Molly’s Bakery, I’m passionate about creating high-quality, locally made products with sourdough, love, and a nostalgic twist.
Every recipe I make is inspired by my own creativity, family traditions from my mum and grandma, and a little bit of Dutch magic.
Baking has been in my heart since I was a little girl.
I have so many memories of being covered in cake, eating it, and sharing cupcakes with my classmates and teachers.
Growing up in the Netherlands, my dad and I had the tradition of visiting local bakery market stalls for pastries, and when he moved to France, my love for baking grew as I experienced the beautiful pastries there.
My mum always taught me that a homemade cake made with love is so much more meaningful—something she learned from her own mum. This practice i use in my bakery.
In 2021, I worked at a small micro bakery in Broome, and that experience really reignited my passion for baking.
When that bakery closed, I found myself back working as a barista, which was fun but not my true calling.
After two years of relentless thoughts about starting my own bakery, I decided, “Why not?” With not much money and on my fourth working holiday visa, I began my journey.
I started small, using the kitchen I worked at as my base, selling only cinnamon buns. From there, I watched my business grow at an amazing pace, and it hasn’t stopped since.
Now, two years later, Molly’s Bakery offers a variety of delicious treats, including sourdough bread, croissants, scrolls, sausage rolls, cakes, and so much more.
I’m proud to have my own commercial kitchen and a beautiful community market stall where both locals and visitors can enjoy our creations.
We also supply our bread and pastries to local venues like Divers Tavern and Kimberley Sands Resort, and offer catering and custom cakes for special occasions.
I’m so happy to be part of a supportive community, and I can’t wait to see you at our bakery stall.
